Brief explanation is that I am a lookalike for Jerry and I have people share with me their stories of encounters with Jerry Garcia. Last weekend, I went to Oregon vs. Cal football game, and the my Oregon friends wanted to share with this Jerry lookalke some of their favorite memories of Jerry encounters, lots of being a fellow Deadhead, but also some very fun moments. Wow, what a great time last nite in SF. The Giants had Jerry Garcia night with free gifts that included bobble-heads of Jerry, and GD baseball caps. It was 15 years ago that Jerry died, he would be 68 years old on 8/1/10. Still miss him, but as Bill Walton said in his speech last night, we must survive, a touch of grey.

Yes, I know that there are sites for us old Hippie types, but what the f--k? Let me switch my focus, and relate by posting some of my confused thoughts. My flashback just happened while listening to radio program on web, for all of us who experimented with mind- expanding drugs. My experience was limited but great fun, summer of 71, and Fall of 71 in Lawrence, KS. Took LSD with frat boy friends, and had real adventure, had to call friend to rescue me, when I couldn't come down from the trip.
Had HS friend come and get me to eat something and take a bath to calm me down. Same summer when I was reading Ken Kesey's books, and Kool-Aid Acid test. Enuf for now, keep on Trucking to later, travel Further.

Howdy out there everyone, yes another ramblings from an offically retired professor . I received my notice from Calpers about my 1st retirement check. Wow, glad that the part-time job with Western Governors University is happening on May 1st, need the extra income. Received a reply to one of my recent postings with suggestion that I establish a theme for my blog. As I put in my profile: This is a blog for an old Hippie who is seeking his way on the path of enlightenment. In addition, my identity is a Jerry Garcia lookalike, a Merry Pranksters, and most likely a Furry Freak Brother. I have always wanting to try writing, but my disability (adult with ADHD) has made this very difficult. Short attention span, highly distracted, etc, make writing a very difficult task for me.
